VIGO COUNTY, Ind – The Vigo County School Board will meet tonight at 6:00 P.M. in the administration building on Wabash Avenue.
One the agenda for tonight will be discussion of the 2019 budget which is set at just under $156 million. That number could be adjusted by state officials depending on the assessed property valuation in the county.
Also, Superintendent Rob Haworth is expected to present his recommendations to review of policies on purchasing authority, bidding requirements, conflict of interest, gifts to employees and school board members and whistleblower protection.
Considering recent accusations and charges filed against former Superintendent Dan Tanoos, he believes current district policies need to be updated and made clearer when it comes to gift acceptance.
