William H. Waymire, 75, of West Terre Haute and formerly of Staunton, Indiana, passed away at Union Hospital on September 6, 2020.

Bill was born on January 22, 1945, in Brazil, Indiana the son of Ernest and Violet (Michael) Waymire. He attended Brazil High School and then enlisted into the United States Army where he served for 3 years. He was honorably discharged as a SP4 in 1965. He met Nancy Ann Nussel and was united in marriage on December 31, 1966. She preceded him in death in 2005. Bill worked as a mechanic at International Paper, Anaconda / Alcan, and then Hercules / AET. He retired in 2001.

Bill was a member of the Knightsville Masonic Lodge 409 where he served as Worshipful Master from 1998-1999. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, ABATE Motorcycle Club, and a member of the American Legion Post 2.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Violet (Michael) Waymire; his wife Nancy Waymire; brothers: Ernest Waymire and John Waymire; a sister Dinah Moore.

Bill is survived by his wife Beverly Curley whom he married on January 17, 2010. His daughter Andrea Lynn Minor and husband Bruce of Staunton; grandsons: Cody Minor and Noah Minor; two sisters: Norma Fortune of Brazil and Julia Wilson of Tennessee as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from noon until 3:00pm. Services will follow at 3:00pm with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Staunton United Methodist Church Food Pantry PO Box 342 or the American Cancer Society PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
