VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A hearing date has been set on a motion to dismiss charges against former Vigo County School Superintendent Dan Tanoos.

Tanoos faces three felony bribery charges.

The state claims that he solicited gifts from a vendor in exchange for recommendations the vendor be contracted to do work for the school system.

Attorneys for Tanoos claim that the charges against him are vague and without merit.

Both sides have filed briefs arguing their side on the motion to dismiss.

A hearing has now been set for Wednesday February 27th in Marion County Court.

A trial date has yet to be set.
