Workers Trying To Help Animals In Martin County Neglect Case

MARTIN COUNTY, Ind. – The Martin County Humane Society is continuing their work to save nearly 100 rescued and sick animals that were taken last Thursday from an alleged active puppy mill at a home in Loogootee.

72 dogs, 11 horses, and two donkeys were rescued.

Several of the dogs have died from their condition.

Many of the dogs have birth defects, maggots, and parvo.

They have a long way to go before they can be adopted.

73-year-old Julia Arney was arrested on charges of animal neglect and cruelty.

Volunteers are working to help but the Martin County Humane Society they desperately need donations to help with the care.
