Frances Maria Bukovack, 100, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Meadows Manor North, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 22, 1920 in Clinton to James and Maria (Cortezi) Varda.

Frances is survived by her children, Joseph Bukovack, Jr. of Terre Haute and Arlene Jennings and husband Ron of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren, Joseph Bukovack III, Casey Bukovack, Ryanne Revercomb, and Christopher Jennings and wife Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Sydney Bukovack, Charlie Jennings, and Chandler Jennings; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Bukovack; brothers, James Varda, John Varda, Renatto Varda, and Dominic Varda; and partner of 38 years, Chester Swearingen.

Frances graduated from Clinton High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a lifetime member of the Elks Club. Frances loved to play cards and go bowling. She was an excellent dancer. She was also a world traveler who enjoyed several trips to Europe and spent many winters in her Cape Coral home. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. She will be truly missed.

Services for Frances will be private and she will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
