Shirley Booth, 83, peacefully passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born to George and Christina Ramey on March 1, 1940. She leaves behind her husband Williard (Bill) Booth of sixty six years and three children, Rhonda Bedwell of Seale, Alabama, Williard (Bill) Booth (Tina) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Dawn Drake (Alan) of Shelburn, Indiana. She also had seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Shirley was a homemaker as her children grew up. She attended cosmetology school and was a hairstylist for a few years. Later she made a career for herself at Sears Roebuck, rising through the ranks and achieving much success as the head of the service agreement department.

Shirley never met a stranger and was the kindest, most loving woman to all that met her. Her fun loving spirit carried through by always being up for any adventure, road-trip or project. She loved the Lord, her friends and family with a full heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand. She loved being of service to others, most notably with the El Shaddia Emmaus Community. She served on several teams, many times in the kitchen-no doubt greeting all that she came in contact with a warm smile. She loved doing puzzles, watching the birds, tending her flowers and having her little buddy Pablo lay beside her.

Shirley was a gem of a woman, a true treasure of wit and charm that will be missed but will not be forgotten because she left an imprint of sweetness on everyone she came in contact with. To celebrate her life, donations in her honor can be made to the El Shaddai Emmaus Community to allow many others to experience the love shared on those very special retreats.
