It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Norma Louise (Jones) Fulton, a beloved

wife to James Brooks Fulton, a mother to Dennis (Carol) Fulton, Brian Fulton, Darrel Fulton,

Cynthia (Mark) Wood, a grandmother to 7, great grandmother to 14 and friend to many

especially those who attended church with her at First Baptist Church of North Terre Haute.

Norma also touched the lives of many students and faculty during her career as the lunchroom

coordinator at the former Laboratory School on the ISU campus. She left us at the age of 82;

she departed peacefully, surrounded by the warmth of her family, on December 16, 2023.

Born December 30, 1940, Norma was a pillar of strength and love. Her passion for sewing was

not just a skill but a beautiful expression of her creativity and attention to detail. Whether

crafting intricate quilts or fashioning garments with meticulous precision, she found joy in every

stitch, leaving behind a legacy of handmade treasures that will be cherished for generations.

Beyond her remarkable talents, Norma was a soulmate for 64 years to Brooks, Her unwavering

love and selfless dedication created a haven of warmth and support. He was the center of her

universe, and her nurturing spirit will forever resonate in his heart.

A woman of grace and resilience, Norma faced life’s challenges with a quiet strength that

inspired those around her. Her wisdom, kindness, and comforting presence will be dearly

missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Norma was preceded in death by her son Brian earlier in 2023, her parents Milford Don and

Margaret Jones, five brothers and two sisters.

In celebrating life, let us remember the joy she brought through her artistry, the love she shared

with her family, and the enduring legacy of warmth she leaves behind. May she rest in eternal

peace.

The family will have a private memorial for both her and Brian at a later date.
